THE ALCHERINGA PROJECT

Bruce Fenton and the Alien Technosignatures Research Group team are investigating a suspected alien Bracewell Sentinel Probe in the possession of an Indigenous Australian community – the Churinga. Information associated with this object, gained via a voice-to-skull interface, has provided details of a purported visitation event almost 800,000 years before the present.

All ATRG researchers are committed to conducting their research in a scientifically rigorous and publicly transparent way.

The core claims taken from the transmission that inform this investigation are as follows:

1. A vast silica-network AI megastructure underwent an explosive event while in Earth orbit. Molten silica glass debris from this explosion showered the planet’s surface.  
2. Five years after the alien craft was destroyed, several asteroids impacted the Earth from multiple directions. Advanced technology has been employed to redirect these objects in space.
3. Survivors of the craft’s destruction utilised advanced genetic engineering technologies to modify a population of archaic hominins, ancestors of Homo sapiens. 

Working Hypotheses 

1. The Australasian tektite strewnfield (dated to ~788kya) represents remnant materials from the exploded silica AI extraterrestrial megastructure. 
2. The 2016 discovery of several widely distributed impact craters dated to approximately the same time (770kya—790kya) represents the fingerprints of the engineered asteroid storm.
3. Recent surprise discoveries in human genome research include anomalies unique to this lineage among all mammals.  Extremely anomalous accelerated evolution in highly conserved non-coding DNA regions and inexplicable segment deletions offer a potential fingerprint for advanced genetic engineering. 

The ATRG research team feel certain that through our investigation of possible paleo-contact with we will make interesting discoveries, encourage new public engagement with STEM research and inform improved methodologies for future SETI research. These achievements will stand whether or not a positive detection is confirmed. 

ATRG Team

The Alien Technosignatures Research Group is composed of scientists from multiple disciplines. Current fields of study represented include palaeontology, planetary geology, ecology, philosophy, and information technology. Due to the current academic climate regarding controversial research, we are not publicly listing these scientists. We continue to expand our team and welcome expressions of interest from all professional researchers.
